Office and corporate moves in Baku

The measure of an office move is not how it looked on Saturday. It is whether Monday started on time.

An office move fails in a specific and predictable way: the furniture arrives, the desks are in roughly the right places, and then nobody can find the monitor cables, the accounts department's files are in a box labelled «kitchen», and two hundred people spend Monday morning not working. The cost of that morning is larger than the cost of the move.

So the work is organisational before it is physical. Workstations are labelled by employee, not by floor. Equipment is packed separately from furniture and photographed as it comes apart, so it goes back together the same way. The new floor plan is agreed before packing starts, because that is what the labels refer to.

We move offices at weekends and overnight for exactly this reason, and we have done it for international companies working in Azerbaijan — SOCAR–Petrofac, Itochu, IKM, Worley, Saipem, TotalEnergies among them.

How an office move is run

The plan before the packing

The new floor plan, who sits where, what is being disposed of rather than moved. Labels refer to the plan, so the plan has to exist first.

Labelled by employee, not by room

Every box and every workstation carries the name of the person it belongs to and its position on the new plan. This single detail is what turns Monday morning from a search into a start.

IT equipment handled separately

Machines, monitors, servers and network hardware packed to their own standard, photographed as they are disconnected and reinstalled in the same configuration. Cables travel with their equipment, labelled.

Out of hours, deliberately

Friday evening to Sunday, or overnight. The point is not convenience; it is that the business does not lose billable time to its own move.

What comes with it

Furniture disassembly and reassembly

Workstation systems, partitions, storage walls and meeting-room furniture taken apart and rebuilt to specification, with fittings kept and labelled by unit.

Storage for what does not move yet

Phased moves, fit-outs running late, archives that need to go somewhere for six months. Our own warehouse, inventoried, with access on request.

Contract, clear estimate, one point of contact

Scope and price agreed in writing before work starts, and one manager responsible for the whole project rather than a different number each day.

Frequent questions

Can you move our office over a weekend?

Yes, and it is the usual arrangement. Friday evening through Sunday, so Monday starts normally. Larger offices are sometimes phased across two weekends — we will say which yours needs after seeing the space.

Who is responsible if equipment is damaged?

Liability is set out in the contract before work begins, and equipment is photographed as it is disconnected, which is what makes any claim a matter of record rather than of argument. Additional insurance is available, priced separately and not included in the moving estimate.

Can you move an archive with confidentiality requirements?

Yes. Sealed and numbered containers, a documented chain of custody, and named crews agreed in advance. Tell us what your policy requires and we will work to it.

How far ahead should a corporate move be booked?

Two to four weeks for a mid-sized office, more if the move is phased or the new fit-out is still running. The lead time goes into planning, not into waiting — the floor plan, the labelling scheme and the access arrangements all have to be settled before anyone packs a box.
