Packing looks like the part you could do yourself over a weekend, and for books and clothes that is true. It stops being true at the first mirror, the first glass cabinet door and the first television that no longer has its original box. Those items do not survive being wrapped in a blanket and hoped for.
We pack with materials matched to what is inside: kraft paper for dishes, multi-layer bubble wrap for glass and mirrors, soft padded wrap for appliances, and built-to-size wooden crates for paintings, sculptures and anything that cannot be replaced. The crate is measured and built for the specific piece — a standard box with padding is not the same thing and does not behave the same way in a van.
Every box is labelled by room, and the label says the room at the NEW address, not the old one. It sounds like a small thing until the day you are looking for the kettle among forty identical cartons.

How it works
We look at what needs protecting
During the survey we separate the ordinary from the fragile and the genuinely valuable. Anything needing a custom crate is measured on the spot so the crate is ready before packing day.
We bring everything with us
Boxes in several sizes, kraft paper, bubble and stretch wrap, tape, corner protectors, markers and labels. You do not buy or collect anything.
Room by room, not item by item
We pack one room at a time and close it out before starting the next. That is what keeps the contents of a box matching its label, and it is the reason unpacking follows the same order.
Inventory when you want one
For office moves, embassy relocations and anything going into storage or abroad we compile a numbered inventory: what is in which box, with photographs if needed.

How much there is to pack
Counted in volume, not in items. A full flat of dishes, books and clothes is a different order of work from a dozen fragile pieces in an otherwise packed home.
How much of it is fragile
Glass, mirrors, china, art and electronics take several times longer per item than clothing, and use more material. This is the factor that moves the number most.
Custom crating
Wooden crates are built to measure for a specific piece and priced individually. Usually it is a handful of items in a home — a painting, a large mirror, a musical instrument.
Whether you pack part of it yourself
Plenty of clients pack their own clothes and books and leave the kitchen, the glass and the electronics to us. That is a normal way to work and we price it that way. We can also simply deliver materials to you.
Questions about this service
Can I order packing without the move itself?
Yes. We pack, label and leave — you move with whoever you like. It also works the other way round: you pack, we transport.
How far ahead of the move should packing happen?
Usually the day before, or the same morning for a small flat. Anything going into a crate is done earlier, since crates are built to measure. Kitchens are packed last: you keep living there until the move.
What happens to the boxes afterwards?
We take the empties away when we finish unloading, at no extra charge. If you would rather keep some for a future move, keep them.
Do you pack a television without its original box?
Yes, and it is one of the most common items. A screen gets corner protection, several layers of padding and travels upright, secured — never flat under anything else.
